While everyone is still laughing at Steve Harvey for his big mix up at this year’s Miss Universe Pageant, it’s looking like he may get the last laugh after all. Even with all of the memes and backlash that has taken over the Internet, Steve’s hosting duties has landed him another chance to host next years pageant.
In a recent interview with CBS Sports Radio Show, Mark Shapiro, Chief Content Officer at WME|IMG, said that Steve was very remorseful about his mistake and is definitely invited to return next year to host once again. He continued, “He did a great job. He was funny, he was informative, he’s high energy, he’s got a great following. … I definitely want him back, and I would hate to see him not come back. He’s going to want a shot to redeem himself.”
Steve is also being encouraged by the Belize Tourism Board (where next years pageant is taking place) to come back and host again as well. The group tweeted him and said, “Dear @IAMSteveHarvey, we all make mistakes. You handled yours with class. Would you host our next pageant? @CostaMayaFest #MissUniverse2015.”
Welp! It’s looking like Steve’s overall performance overshadowed his one mistake and he can possibly be heading to next years pageant in Belize.
