Suge Knight Shares Advice For Diddy Amid His Ongoing Trial

On Friday, May 30, CNN published a report, highlighting an exclusive phone interview the outlet conducted with Suge Knight. To note, Knight is currently serving a 28-year prison sentence for a fatal 2015 hit-and-run collision.

Knight says he believes Diddy should “humanize” himself as he awaits his fate.

“I feel if he do tell his truth, he really would walk,” he said. “If Puffy goes up there and says, ‘Hey I did all the drugs, I wasnt in control of my life at the time, or myself’ he can humanize his old self and the jury might give him a shot.”

Additionally, Knight shared how he feels Diddy not taking the stand may look.

“But if they keep him sitting down, its like hes scared to face the music. He should just have his faith in God, put up his pants, and go up there and tell his truth,” Knight added.

At this time, it remains unclear whether Diddy will take the stand amid the trial.

This isn’t the first time Suge Knight has shared advice for Diddy. In September 2024, days after Diddy was arrested by federal agents, Knight spoke with NewsNation. As The Shade Room previously reported, at the time, Knight encouraged Diddy to watch his back behind bars. Additionally, he shared that he didn’t think anyone should “count [Diddy] out.”

“I dont think he gon lay down and in the court and die… [But] we gotta learn from our mistakes. Everything dont have to be a mistake, you gotta better yourself, but we all know what we signed up for,” he said in part at the time.
