Syleena Johnson Shares Why She Thinks White People Aren’t Concerned About The Buffalo Mass Shooting Like They Were About The Will Smith Oscars Slap

Back in March the infamous Oscars slap involving Will Smith and Chris Rock was the talk of the news for weeks after the incident. However, after the recent mass shooting in Buffalo, that left 10 Black people deceased, many people are questioning why that incident hasn’t drawn the same amount of attention.

During the latest episode of the Fox Soul show “Cocktails With Queens,” Syleena Johnson shared why she thinks white people are not as outraged about the mass shooting in Buffalo as they were about this year’s unforgettable Oscars moment.

She said, “Sorry guys, white people are used to seeing us get killed. It’s not news anymore to them, we’re always getting shot down either by them or by each other. So for them, this is run-of-the-mill news. They’re not outraged anymore, they’re used to seeing this type of thing happen. They’re watching the show like every other nationality is watching the show in terms of Black people and death.”

Media personality Scottie Beam recently spoke on the matter as well. However, she called out Amy Schumer and Judd Apatow in particular and said,

“Remember when the celebrities were traumatized over a smack between two grown a** men… How loud are they now that an anti-Black hate crime killed 10 people? Specifically @amyschumer @JuddApatow. Quickly.”

She added, “When it comes to policing Black people you haven’t hesitated.. but when Black people are killed by a racist demon.. where is your pleather pale ass tears.”

As previously reported, Payton S. Gendron was identified as the shooter responsible for the mass shooting at Tops Friendly Market in Buffalo, NY. He was charged with first-degree murder in the shooting. Officials say he showed up at the supermarket dressed in tactical gear and live-streamed the mass shooting with a camera attached to his helmet.
