The conversation surrounding Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez is heating up again on social media, and SZA is not here for it. New claims about evidence in the 2020 shooting case that landed Tory a 10-year sentence have reignited the public’s interest in the case. While hislegal team is now pushing for California Governor Gavin Newsom to overturn his conviction, SZA fiercely defended Meg, questioning how people still choose not to believe her.
On Wednesday, May 21, SZA took to the comments section of @theluncheonlawyers IG post to sound off. The account, owned by Georgia-based criminal defense attorney Alicia, posted a video reacting to Torys legal teams press conference on May 14. If you recall, the ‘Hurts Me’ rapper’s attorneys claimed they had new evidence proving he didnt shoot Megan.
Alicia wasnt buying it, though, pointing out that Torys team was running to the media instead of the courts. Your first stop was a press conference? Alicia said, pausing for effect. Theres nothing I can do for you. Im the general public, you need to be talking to the government.
Additionally, Alicia went on, noting that Torys lawyers supposedly havent even filed any legal paperwork to back up their claims of wanting his conviction overturned. Sis was making points that SZA agreed with as she sounded off in the comments section of the post!. The ‘Snooze’ singer went off, writing:

Megan hasnt been letting the claims of new evidence slide either. On May 19, the Houston Hottie took to TikTok to address Tory and his fans, who she says keep forcing her to relive her trauma. In a fiery post, Meg went off, shutting down the flip-flopping narratives.
One min him/yall said I was never shot now yall letting him play in yall face AGAIN and say I was shot but it wasnt him oh okay.?! she wrote. Meg wasnt done, adding, HE AINT DARE GET ON THAT STAND AND DENY HE SHOT ME AND THAT WAS HIS CHOICE BECAUSE HE KNOWS HE DID THAT S**T!
She continued, How yall mad at the person that got shot???? FACTS ARE FACTS, he did it, it was PROVEN IN COURT f*** the hate campaign on the internet. Meg called Tory a f*****g demon and begged him to leave her alone, stressing theres no new evidencejust the same tired claims.
