After a week full of attention on T.I. and his wife Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harris, he broke his silence in a 6-minute long video that he shared on Instagram, further denying all allegations made by Sabrina Peterson. This comes just hours after his team publicly released a statement.
In the video, T.I. left nothing unsaid. “Hey, so as ya’ll can probably guess or imagine, it’s been extremely difficult for me to remain quiet in light of all the things that have transpired and all of the egregious allegations that have been tossed around about my wife and me,” he said. “But it’s a reason for that, and I don’t mind sharing it. You see, if a person does not have any rights to criminally or civilly have you in court, the best thing they can do is get you for defamation.”
He defended his wife Tiny, speaking on her character, saying that she didn’t deserve the slander online. T.I. stated, “My wife is a beautiful person with an amazing spirit and a kind heart. She’s a devoted mother and has a humble soul.” That wasn’t it. He addressed the sexual claims in his bedroom.
“Now what we not gone do is open up the door to my bedroom, as you shouldn’t have to either. Open up the door to my bedroom for everybody to come in and chime in and make their opinions about what we do, what we don’t do and shouldn’t do,” he said. “But I will say this, whatever we have done, it was done with consensual adults that are into what we’re into and like what we like.”
T.I. doubled down that he never forced anyone or made anyone do anything against their will or drugged anybody. Nor held anyone against their will, and reiterated that he never raped anyone or participated in sex trafficking.
As he closed out the video, he mentioned that Black women deserved to be protected.
