Tamia & Deborah Cox Slay Their Version Of The Classic Song “Count On Me”

Roommates, there are singers and then there are “sangers”…and we all know by now that Tamia and Deborah Cox are two of the best sangers around—and to prove it they recently took on an R&B classic. Tamia and Deborah recently teamed up to bless us with a rendition of the Whitney Houston and CeCe Winans classic, “Count On Me.”

During a recent appearance on the CBS daytime talk show, “The Talk,” Tamia and Deborah Cox delighted fans with their jaw-dropping version of the 1995 hit song “Count On Me” from the Grammy-winning “Waiting To Exhale” soundtrack.

Of course the original was performed by another set of incredible voices, Whitney Houston and CeCe Winans, but Tamia and Deborah Cox definitely did the song justice in their own way. The most amazing part of their performance was that although they were in separate locations due to COVID-19, they managed to still be in perfect harmony with each other.

Tamia and Deborah Cox proved once again that they are powerhouse vocalists in an era that favors auto-tune and whispering over true belting vocals. Surprisingly, this isn’t the first time these two covered “Count On Me,” as they also shared their version with the world early last year when the coronavirus lockdown had just started.

Their perfect vocal match-up got us thinking that maybe they should go head-to-head in a battle of their hits and show everyone that classic R&B never goes out of style.
