Taraji P. Henson Shows Off Her Glam Skills On Instagram During Quarantine Season

This quarantine has us all looking for alternatives to keep our glam poppin’, and it looks like Taraji P. Henson has figured out the formula and has the skills, while giving back with free virtual therapy sessions. The “Empire” actress posted a  few vids detailing how she gave herself a curly mohawk style. Using rods and her own hair care products, homegirl did an exceptional job,.

The 49-year-old showed us step-by-step how she combed, rolled, and styled her hair. Not to mention, her skin was flawless and glowing, as she provided instruction on what to do. She also revealed that she did her on makeup as well, and sis was beat for the gawds, chile.

In an Instagram post, she wrote, “COVID 19 got me doing my own glam from head to toe!!! If this acting thing don’t work out I have another plan! ???????????????? Used ALL @tphbytaraji PRODUCTS FOR MY HAIR!!!”

In an interview with Allure, the D.C. native stated she would do hair in college, as a side hustle.

“In college, I would do wet sets for $20 a pop. That was my little side hustle. Once I got into the acting business, I started wearing weaves because I wanted to protect my hair, she stated.

“I really didn’t like them at first. I’d heard so many horror stories about people losing their edges and the wear and tear [weaves put] on their hair,” the acress added.

“When I had to wear my hair straight for movies, it became stressful to keep straightening and putting heat on it to match whatever scene I was in. So I started weaving my hair.” Looks like she still has skills.  Taraji may need to expand her TPH line and open up a few salons.

Roomies, how has this quarantine season been treating your hair and nails, chile?
