Tekashi 69 Reaches Record 2 Million Views On Instagram Live In First Live Appearance Since Being Released From Prison

Tekashi 69 may be a lot of things but “stoopid” is certainly not one of them. In a much anticipated return to social media, Tekashi went live on Instagram today in his first live appearance since being released early from prison.

Within seconds, he broke viewing records on the social media platform and reached an overall viewership of 2 million during his live, in which he talked about several things, harping on loyalty and why he did what he did.

Just moments before he went live, Tekashi had released his first music video since his release from prison. He also got into a bit of a spat with Meek Mill.

When he finally went live, he gave about an 8-minute rant, explaining why some of his fellow rappers are so upset by his presence.

“You live your whole life trying to be a real n***a, trying to be stand up tall loyal guy…If a rat came home like the way I came home and did more numbers than me, I would be mad. You have every reason to be mad.”

Tekashi continued, “I still came home and I’m a legend at the age of 24 years old because I came home and rat is doing more numbers than you. I would be mad too. I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night.”

He also talked about the meaning of loyalty. Watch below:

He ended his live thanking his fans for supporting his comeback as well as the judge in his case for letting him come early and celebrate his birthday, which was today, with his loved ones.

He’s currently serving the rest of his two-year sentence on house arrest.
