The start of the final season of “Empire,” is quickly around the corner, and Extra TV made a visit to the set of the show to talk to the two stars Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson.
While talking with Extra’s special correspondent Miss USA Cheslie Kryst, Terrence revealed some shocking news that has been capturing the attention of many. When asked where does he see his career moving after the show is over. He said, “I’m done with acting. I’m done pretending.”
Cheslie continued to ask if he’ll be done with acting, would he be focusing solely on philanthropy, and he continued, “No not philanthropy, I’m just focusing on bringing the truth to the world.”
As many of you already know, Jussie Smollett, who was a key member of the show, will not be returning to the show for its final season. The decision to not have his character return after he was involved in an alleged attack earlier this year.
He was accused of staging the attack himself, and he has, of course, denied any involvement.
During the interview, Cheslie also asked Terrence and Taraji which cast member they have both been the closest with throughout the years, and they both responded Jussie.
Terrence said, “I was closest to Jussie. It hurts not to have him here. It’s like losing a son. But it’s nice not having all the media circus around regarding all the things that took place.”
Taraji said, “I miss him just like a mother misses a child.”
The new season of “Empire,” kicks off on September 24th?
