Terry Crews Once Again Facing Backlash After Tweeting—“We Must Ensure #BlackLivesMatter Doesn’t Morph Into #BlackLivesBetter”

Whew chile, Terry Crews has found himself in hot water again for controversial comments! Following multiple recent instances of online backlash due to his opinions on #BlackLivesMatter—Terry Crews is now in the middle of new criticism after implying that #BlackLivesMatter could turn into Black people thinking they are superior.

Terry Crews apparently has fired up his Twitter fingers once again—and the backlash on social media regarding his recent comments has been vicious. He posted the following message to his Twitter account about the #BlackLivesMatter movement.

His post read:

“If you are a child of God, you are my brother and sister. I have family of every race, creed and ideology. We must ensure #blacklivesmatter doesn’t morph into #blacklivesbetter.”

Social media immediately fired off against Terry Crews—and things got so intense that Bernice King, daughter of Martin Luther King Jr., responded to him to let him know how insensitive and off base his comments were.

Bernice wrote, “We’re so far from that bridge, Terry. #BlackLivesMatter is, in part, a rallying cry and a protest slogan to galvanize people into doing the justice work needed to derail the deaths, dehumanization and destruction of Black lives that racism causes. Justice is not a competition.”

Terry then responded with:

“You are right, @BerniceKing. I just want to make sure it stays that way. No competition, just creativity.”

Meanwhile, he is scheduled to address his comments in a live interview with journalist Roland Martin on YouTube.
