#Roommates, be careful how you treat people because you never know when that person might unexpectedly pop back up in your life trying to ruin it. Unfortunately, that’s what happened to a Texas school superintendent during a study board meeting Monday.
According to NY Daily News, the man, Greg Barrett, accused the superintendent of being one of his bullies him as boy. He said he was “unbelievably bullied” by teachers and classmates because of his legal name : Greg Gay.
“I was bullied. Unbelievably bullied,” Barret said. “I had teachers that bullied me; I had kids that bullied me, even the coaches. I had nobody to turn to.”
Greg went on to call the superintendent, Lance Hindt, out for what he did to him 35 years ago when they attended school together.
Greg claimed that Lance shoved his head in a urinal at school during lunch.
“I busted my lip,” he said. “I laid on the ground in a fetal position as the kids kicked me.”
Greg said the amount of bullying made him want to take his own life at one point.
“I got the .45 out of my fathers drawer and put in my mouth, he said. “Because at this point, I had nobody in the school system to help me.”
The superintendent denied Greg’s claims.
“It was difficult for me to listen to a gentleman Monday night recount a bullying incident he said occurred more than 35 years ago,” he said in a statement to the
“As superintendent in three school districts in Texas, I have always tried to create an environment where every student is safe — physically and emotionally,” he continued. “But when an individual impugns my character and reputation as the instigator of those actions, I am disappointed because it simply is not true”
Greg must’ve really been going through it because he now uses his mother’s maiden name.
