If theres one thing about Teyana Taylor, shes going to keep that same energy! The singer, dancer, and all-around entertainer had folks watching closely as she stepped into a fun-filled moment during a recent community event. And chile, when the music, the crowd, and a little childhood nostalgia came together, Teyana was more than ready to show everybody she still had the moves!
If nothing else, Teyana Taylor is going to jump double dutch! And if at first you dont succeed, you already know you gotta try again. The fun was all part of the Tey’s Foundations Back to School Giveaway in Harlem, where Teyana showed up for her community with school supplies, games, music, and plenty of good old-fashioned fun. Dressed in gray capri sweatpants, a gray cutoff-sleeve top decorated on the front, gray sneakers, and her curly hair, Teyana looked right at home as she joined in on the action.
The moment appeared to take place on a basketball court, with a bouncy house set up in the background as kids and families enjoyed the festivities. And yes, yall already know Teyana wasnt just standing on the sidelines she jumped right in and gave everybody a little double-dutch lesson of her own!
And thats not all, chile! Teyanas little girls were out there schooling everybody on the double-dutch game too. In another clip, Junie Shumpert Jr. could be seen rocking dark pants, a blue tank top, braids, and green shoes as she jumped right into the ropes and chile, she even cartwheeled into them like it was nothing! And her youngest, Rue Rose Shumpert, got in on the fun too, hitting the ropes and busting out jumping jacks mid-jump. We simply cannot handle all this double-dutch greatness!
Fans quickly ran to The Shade Rooms Instagram post and couldnt stop sharing their reactions to Teyanas double-dutch moment. Some joked that if they had never gotten a perm as kids, they might still have the skills to jump rope like that, while others simply loved seeing Black culture and community fun thriving. And of course, a few fans kept it real with comments saying Teyana and her girls are just too lit!

Meanwhile, Instagram user @prettygrltaylor claimed, “This made me instantly feel black girl joy her kids a vibe better then I would be doing it ”
