The Seahawks Have A ‘Big Surprise’ Planned During The National Anthem For Sunday’s Game

Jeremy Lane of the Seattle Seahawks has vowed to continue to sit during the national anthem and according to reports, his teammates may join him!

This Sunday, the team opens up against Miami, and receiver #DougBaldwin tells the Seattle Times that he’s definitely considered sitting down with Lane.

“I want to make sure I get all of my ducks in a row before I do so,” he said.

Bobby Wagner revealed that the team has been talking about taking action together. He didn’t say whether or not he’d be sitting down during the anthem, however, he says that as a team, “anything we want to do, it’s not going to be individual. It’s going to be a team thing. That’s what the world needs to see. The world needs to see people coming together versus being individuals.”

He also didn’t say what exactly was coming for Sunday’s game, but insists that “whatever we decide to do will be a big surprise.”

The linebacker told the Seattle Times that the locker room has discussed supporting teammate Jeremy Lane who decided to sit during the national anthem in solidarity with Colin Kaepernick last week. The purpose of it all is to protest inequality and racial injustice and the team only hopes to continue the conversation and ignite change.

Are you guys here for this Roommates? If the team does sit down or take a knee during the anthem, do you think it will promote positive change?
