Yesterday it was announced that two suspects are now in custody for the murder of Young Dolph. On Wednesday, authorities held a press conference where they provided more details about the case and revealed that a third suspect has been charged in the case.
According to WREG 3, during the press conference officials announced that a third man has been charged in the murder case. They said, Shundale Barnett, who is originally from Memphis but resides in Dallas, is facing charges of accessory for reportedly helping Justin Johnson while he was on the run from authorities. As previously reported, Johnson was arrested in Indiana on Tuesday, and Barnett was the person in the passenger seat of the car that was driven by Johnson when authorities apprehended him.
Last week after a reward was announced for information that could lead to the arrest of Johnson, the U.S. Marshals ended up receiving more than 500 tips. A tip placed on Tuesday mentioned that he was spotted traveling in Brazil, Indiana. Law enforcement was then contacted about the tip and they pulled him over and he was taken into custody.
Memphis Police Chief CJ Davis said the investigation for this case is still in progress and it is possible there could be more suspects. At the moment the motive for the fatal shooting of Young Dolph is not clear at this time.
