Yall, theres been chatter for some time about our fave TV twins, and Tia Mowry finally decided to speak up. Fans have been wondering if she and her sister, Tamera Mowry, actually have tension between themor if its just rumors. In a world where social media loves to spin stories about celebrity sibling drama, Tia set the record straightand gave fans the tea weve been waiting for.
In a recent interview with ET, Tia explained that there’s sometimes a little distancethe siblings are busy with their own lives. But they make a point to stay connected. During the clip, Tia was serving looks while keeping it real. She rocked high-class hoops, a face beat to the gods, a sleek high ponytail, and a black-and-white checkered top with a pearl-encrusted neckline. Basically, she came for the rumors and the style pointsproving she can slay on all fronts while pulling the tea kettle from the stove.
“Everybody thought that there was this huge rift or distance. And, that was not the case. The world, they’re so used to seeing all of us together. But, at the end of the day, we all grow up. We all have our own families. Yes, there’s distance. ‘Cause we all are doing our own thing. But, when something is important to you or when it is a priority you will make time for it,” the actress and entrepreneur can be heard saying.
And according to Tia, the sisters check in at least once a week, keeping that iconic twin bond alive.
“My sister and I, we’ve made a pact that we will reach out to each other once a week and that’s on Sundays. So as long as…we make time for each other, that’s all that matters,” she added.
Of course, fans immediately flooded the TSR comment section with their takes. Some pointed out that Tia has always hinted at the occasional distance between her and Tamera, while others argued that she doesnt owe anyone an explanation about her personal life. Meanwhile, plenty of commenters kept it real, saying you can still love your family deeply even if youre not as close as you used to be.

As previously reported, fans were buzzing last year after a clip from her reality series showed Tia hinting at some distance between her and sister Tamera. “Its time like this when I feel and wish that my sister and I were still close, and I could pick up the phone and call her,” she revealed. Then, back in September 2024, Tia sat down and attempted to clear up any misconceptions that came up. She clarified that her comments were about physical distance, not emotional estrangement.
“In these transitions in life, sometimes you just want a hug, and you just want someone to be as accessible as they used to be, and that is not the case. Its called life,” Tia explained.
Fans seemed relieved to hear Tia set the record straight, proving that even when life gets busy, the bond between the Mowry twins is as real as ever.
