Tiger Woods Shares First Instagram Photo Of Himself Since Severe Car Accident

Tiger Woods popped out on his verified Instagram for the first time since undergoing surgery for a severe car accident. On Friday, Tiger posted a photo standing alongside his furry, recovery buddy. The golf champion beamed a huge smile, while sporting a newly grown beard — a striking contrast to his signature clean-cut look. Luckily, the new facial accessory went over well with the ladies in his comments (and ours) to say the least!

In the photo, Tiger is seen standing with the support of crutches. A thick, black brace covers his right leg from knee to toes. Tiger is dressed down in a Nike shirt and shorts and a white baseball cap turned backwards. His black-and-white dog stands almost in a protective, yet casual stance next to him.

Tiger gave wondering minds an update on his recovery via the post’s caption.

“My course is coming along faster than I am. But it’s nice to have a faithful rehab partner, man’s best friend,” Tiger wrote.

Leave it to Tiger to sneak in a slight flex during a recovery progress flick!

As we previously reported, Tiger underwent surgery after a frightening car crash back in February of this year. The 7 a.m. crash took place about 20 miles outside of Los Angelos near Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes communities. Authorities revealed the sports star had to be removed from the damaged vehicle using the “jaws of life,” before he was transported to UCLA Medical Center. Tiger was riding alone in his car when the impact happened.

After the surgery at UCLA Medical Center Tiger’s team released a statement about his medical procedure. The operation targeted his lower right leg and ankle, which experienced open fractures. Doctors apparently stabilized his leg by inserting a rod into his tibia bone and using screws and pins on his ankle and foot.

Earlier this month, the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department determined speed was the contributing factor to the crash. They revealed Tiger was driving his car over the speed limit by 50 miles per hour. The limit on the road he was traveling is set at 45 mph, but Tiger was driving at 87 mph at the time of the crash. Tiger’s Genesis SUV rolled over violently after hitting the gas pedal while navigating a curve in the road.

Roomies, let us wish Tiger a speedy recovery that catches up to his golf course build!
