We were all shocked and excited when photos revealed that actress Tika Sumpter was pregnant. She managed to keep the news from her coworkers and some close friends up until her third trimester.
Now she reveals more as she covers the October issue of Fit Pregnancy And Baby Magazine.
In her interview, the soon to be mother who is expecting a baby girl very soon revealed when she and her boyfriend found out about her pregnancy, it was during a surprise trip to San Diego around Valentines Day.
As someone who does not eat McDonalds she started to crave a meal from the fast food restaurant. Afterwards she went to sleep, and woke up to her boyfriend asking if she was pregnant.
Two pregnancy tests later and the news was confirmed. She said, I still have the stick. I had to show it to my mom, because she didnt even believe me when I told her.
Now we all have been wondering exactly who her boyfriend is. Although she did not reveal a name, she did mention that he is also an actor. But we have every reason to believe it is her #HAHN costar, Nicholas James. The two were both in San Diego for Valentines Day where they shared a sky diving experience.
She revealed to the magazine on the reasons why she didnt want to publicly announce the father of her child. She said, I didnt want to hear, Whos the dad? Are you with the dad? Social media can be harsh, and Im a mama bear, protective of my family. So thats why I waited to tell people, including some friends. My friends werent mad at me. They said, You did it the way you wanted to do it. Youre an inspiration.
When it comes to whether or not marriage is in the future, she said, “One of the first questions my mother asked when she found out I was pregnant was Are you going to get married? Id love to, but maybe in a year or so. Ive been with my boyfriend for more than a year and a half. Our relationship is not dependent on a ring. I love him to death, and he loves me to death, and thats all that matters to me.
Congrats to Tika Sumpter and her growing family, we cant wait for her to have her beautiful baby girl.
