Details On Florida Man’s Arrest After Fatal Murder Of Ex-Fiance

The Miami Herald reports that Timothy Hyder and his ex-fiance, Natalie “Dawn” Du’Mee, had been together for around three years before the tragic event unfolded. According to the outlet, the couple attended a party where Natalie told Timothy she no longer intended to marry him. After they returned home, she reportedly handed back the engagement ring and reiterated her stance.

Police revealed that Du’Mee’s daughter, who was upstairs watching a movie, allegedly saw Hyder enter the room and head to a closet just after midnight. Moments later, he retrieved a gun, went downstairs to confront Natalie, and asked if she was serious about not marrying before allegedly shooting her in the head.

Per PEOPLE, Natalie Du’Mee’s daughter heard the gunshots and later found her mother with severe injuries to her head and mouth. She claimed Timothy Hyder confessed to killing her mother after the incident.

Its over, I blew her brains out, Hyder allegedly said. Then, he informed her to call 911.

When officers arrived at the scene on December 1, they found Natalie sitting on the back porch with a gunshot wound on the right side of her head. Police also discovered a handgun left openly on the kitchen counter.

Police reported that Hyder admitted on the spot that he felt remorse for his actions. “He wished he could take back what occurred and that he snapped,” officers explained.
