Welp, fans of the hit TNT comedy-drama Claws have been hit with a dose of good and bad news. The popular summer series starring Niecy Nash will get a fourth seasonbut that will be its last.
If youre a fan a of Claws you know just how addictive it is, with so many twists, turns and outrageous situations that easily make it one of the best shows on TV. Sadly though, @variety recently reports that the upcoming fourth season will be the final one for the sassy ladies involved in the criminal underworld of Florida.
Season three of the series ended a few months ago, so fans were waiting patiently to find out if Claws would be renewed for another seasonand it has, but after that its a wrap. Brett Weitz, General Manager for TNT, TBS, & truTV reassured fans that despite the series ending next year, it will go out with a bang.
Weitz stated:
For the past three seasons, Claws has handled delicate and culturally relevant themes like race, class, gender, age and sexual orientation with grace and humor via superb storytelling. Fans cherish the over-the-top Clawsian moments that have defined its run, and we will do them justice as we wrap up the tale of Desna and her crew.
Claws centers around Desna Simms (Niecy Nash) and her crew of manicurists from the Nail Artisans of Manatee County nail salon in Florida, as she rises to power in the crime world to claim her share of money and respect. It also marks the first regular TV role for Karrueche Tran.
