If you’re familiar with Todd Chrisley, then you know the one thing the TV star doesn’t play about is his family!
The “Chrisley Knows Best” patriarch sat down with his wife Julie to have a candid conversation with Tamron Hall in regard to recent racist attacks on their biracial granddaughter Chloe. The Chrisleys have taken in their son’s daughter from a previous relationship and have treated her like their own child within these past couple of years.
While it’s disappointing that critics have such hateful things to say about an 8-year-old, Todd said that keeping her off of their hit TV show is not going to protect her.
“Keeping her off the show is not going to protect her against the ignorance of the world,” Todd told Tamron. “What changes that, it’s not going to be Democrats, it’s not going to be Republicans, the House, the Senate, the Congress or the oval office. What’s going to change the world is what begins at home. What we do as a people, not as a politic.”

Todd explained that he and Julie are raising Chloe so that she knows God and is being taught to treat all human beings with respect.
“And most importantly she is to have respect for herself, who she is and where she comes from,” Todd added. “And she owes no one an explanation about her appearance.”
He also said in the beginning of the interview that he nor his wife had ever experienced racism until they adopted Chloe.
“We have been in that privileged sector of not having to have that added stress on us as people,” Todd said. “And then God brought Chloe to us and I think that God gave us Chloe because we needed to be changed.”
