A video circulating on X (formerly Twitter) shows Tokyo Toni taking the mic moments after the well-received proposal. The clip, shared by @BlacChynaDaily, shows what appears to be several clips stitched together in a video nearly two minutes long.
The video began with Angela White flashing her diamond ring at the excited Howard crowd. Derrick is seen cheesing over the moment nearby. As Chyna wiped away tears, Milano said on the mic, “This is my best friend, my soul mate. We done been through a lot with each other. I appreciate you, I appreciate you as a woman. I appreciate you as a mother and I wanna spend the rest of my life with you.” Afterward, he walked over to his finace and planted a kiss on her lips.
Meanwhile, about thirty seconds into the stitched video, a camera pan shows Tokyo Toni jumping up and down with her hand up as she records the engaged couple. A few seconds later, Mama Toni gave the cheering crowd a light twerk.
“And that’s what it is,” Toni said, adding a loving, “Congratualtions y’all. Let me go back here and finish crying ’cause I can’t believe it. I love you guys, I love with all my heart.”
Tokyo Toni then asked the crowd to “give a quick cheer” for her daughter’s two-year sobriety. As previously reported, White celebrated the anniversary in mid-September at an event and at home with her children Dream and King.
The crowd exploded with cheers for White’s sobriety, and Tokyo then complimented her future son-in-law. “And Derrick, he has a fantastic dad, mom,” she said before the video cuts to the mother and daughter embracing. “I love my mother y’all,” Angela said into the mic after.
Near the end of the video, Tokyo shared that she and Derrick have “talked and talked,” adding that marrying Angela White is the “best decision” he’s ever made. Watch the entire interaction below.
