Tory Lanez Maintains His Innocence In Megan Thee Stallion Shooting: “They Mistook A Black Man Expressing His Innocence For Insensitivity”

The details surrounding what went down on the night Megan Thee Stallion was shot are still pretty murky, Roomies. While we try to put the pieces together, Tory Lanez continues to maintain that he is innocent in the whole thing.

Tory took to Twitter on Saturday evening with a message about “truth”, and exchanged some words with a commenter who questioned his role in what happened on that faithful night.

“Men lie. Women lie. Humans just lie,” Tory tweeted. “Truth sets you free, or sets itself free…that’s the beauty of life and the lesson in one”

The message in those tweets is pretty vague and one fan straight up said Tory needs to just let us know whether or not he shot Megan. Tory stepped into the comments on Akademik’s page, and let him know he is still innocent.

“I realize that not everybody heard me say ‘no I did not’ on my album…because they [mistook] a black man expressing his innocence for insensitivity…As if we ain’t all fighting the same fight, as if exiling a successful man is the answer to a problem bigger than him…you’ll get more than you need to know when court resumes.”

Now, that comment doesn’t tell a lot, but it does say that Tory maintains his not guilty plea he took back in November.

While Tory has been seemingly living his best life on the ‘gram recently, Meg and her ex-bestie Kelsey Nicole have been exchanging jabs all over social media. After Meg accused Tory of offering her and Kelsey hush money and then taking shots at both of them on her new album, Kelsey hit the booth with a song of her own.

We’ll keep y’all updated on this case, Roomies, so stay with us!
