Nicki Minaj doesnt play about her music and it looks like Torey Lanez learned that the hard way. Torey had a lot of well known artists on his new album Memories Dont Die, but Nicki wasnt one of them. Tory sat down with HotNewHipHop for an exclusive interview and revealed that Nicki asked to be taken off of his song Shooters after he tried to tell her something about her verse via text, yall know how that can go!
She was on Shooters originally, he revealed. She was on the record first, and I was telling her something about the verse, I wasnt saying it was bad or anything, her verse was incredible, and Im also like a super-Nicki fan. But I was telling her somethingI was texting her, and it may have came off in a different way, she probably read it in a different way than I said it.
I think it maybe kinda came off a little bit arrogant, or I kinda said something I shouldnt have said about her verse, he added. She was like, Well, ni**a, its not that serious. Take my verse off the thing.’
Its no beef though #Roommates, Tory says he still wants to work with Nicki.
I love Nicki Minaj when it comes down to her music and the whole thing, but Im not a reacher, he added. Once a n**ga says its quiet, its quiet. Im fine with that. Im a great musician. Im gonna always create great music and Ima be around for a very long time. Maybe in the future when the time is right, well do something thats right, that we both feel comfortable with.
