Trey Songz Wants Domestic Violence Lawsuit Thrown Out, Claims Self-Defense

In the terms of his ongoing lawsuit stemming from claims of domestic violence, Trey Songz is committed to defending himself and reputation. New details in the case have emerged and Trey now wants the entire lawsuit thrown out because he says he was acting in self-defense during the altercation.

If you’ll recall, Trigga has been in the middle of a long domestic violence lawsuit filed by Andrea Buera dating back to All-Star Weekend 2018 when she initially claimed she was physically assaulted by him. Buera says that Trey choked and punched her repeatedly in the face because he was angry when he saw her talking to another man.

Trey, 34, is now arguing that he was merely defending himself in his altercation with Buera—and as a result, the entire lawsuit should be thrown out. According to court documents obtained by @TheBlast, Trey also says that he wasn’t responsible for the injuries Buera suffered and that he “reasonably believed Plaintiff was going to harm him and any force he used was only the amount reasonable necessary to protect himself.”

Previously, the Los Angeles District Attorney and the City Attorney declined to file charges against Trey due to lack of evidence.
