TSR POSITIVE IMAGE: ATLANTA TEEN IS FASTEST TRACK STAR IN THE COUNTRY

Sixteen-year old Candace Hill is shocking everyone with her skills both on and off the track!

Candace is the fastest teenage girl in the U.S. right now, she is qualified for the 2016 Rio Olympics and has the potential to earn a medal while there and she’s only 16! She runs 100 meters in 10.98 seconds according to New York Times.

She has become the youngest track athlete in the U.S. to turn professional. Instead of running for her high school like most girls her age are, she is expected to enter international racing circuits and compete for financial awards against some of the world’s fastest runners. Running professionally means that she won’t be able to run when she does go to college and for her it was a hard decision, she told NYT, but she said it was time for the next step.

She landed a very rare and awarding deal with Asics which presents her with a full tuition paid scholarship to any university she chooses and is a whopping 10 years long. But it’s not like she even needs it, Hill apparently currently has a 4.6 GPA and is in the top 10 class ranking at her Atlanta area high school.

If she ends up racing at the Olympics next years, there’s no telling how much success she will have and how many other deals will roll in for this young but powerful athlete. We can’t wait to see what she does at the Olympics and in the future!
