TSR Sports: NBA Commissioner Personally Spoke To Drake About His Sideline Behavior To Avoid Any Issues Going Into The NBA Finals

#Roommates, the NBA Finals kicks off tonight where the Toronto Raptors will be taking on the Golden State Warriors for the NBA Championship. Given that this is the very first time the Raptors are in the finals, it’s safe to say Drake will be sitting court side cheering on his hometown team.

With that being said, during the Eastern Conference Finals, Drizzy made headlines for how he acted on the sidelines and a lot of people took notice, including the NBA commissioner, Adam Silver, who apparently had a conversation with Aubrey and gave him some ‘dos & don’ts’ while he’s court side prior to Game 1.

In an interview, Adam Silver explained how he personally spoke to Drake and though he’s appreciative of Drake’s enthusiasm there are certain boundaries he can’t cross while he’s on the sideline.  He went on to say: “I think Drake understands as excited as he is and as appreciative we are of his support that there’s got to be lines drawn. Obviously, you don’t want to end up touching a coach because a coach may not realize what’s going on in the middle of the action.”

He also added: “He has the official designation ‘ambassador’ … and he’s a global star, so it’s a huge deal that he’s so engaged with the team and loves the NBA so much. But, obviously, there’s some lines that even ambassadors shouldn’t cross.”

Last time there was chatter about how he was acting during a game, Drake rolled up in a custom outfit that paid tribute to Tupac’s character ‘Birdie’ from the movie ‘Above The Rim.’ If you’ve seen the movie, then you get the reference. Either way, Game 1 kicks off tonight and it’s safe to say Drake might fall back a little… at least that’s what he’s been told to do but it looks like only time will tell!

We’ll see ya after game 1 Roommates!
