TSR Updatez: Jacob Blake Reportedly Handcuffed To Hospital Bed

On Sunday, Jacob Blake—a Black man who was shot seven times in the back by a Kenosha, Wisconsin, police officer—has reportedly been handcuffed to his hospital bed, according to CNN.

Jacob Blake Sr., reportedly visited his son in the hospital, when he saw Blake Jr. handcuffed to the bed.

Jacob’s uncle stated that Blake Sr. was “heartbroken that his son was handcuffed to this bed,” Justin Blake shared with CNN.

He also stated, “This is an insult to injury. He is paralyzed and can’t walk and they have him cuffed to the bed. Why?”

As previously reported, Jacob’s uncle–Justin Blake– also shared that Jacob’s three kids are in “desperate need of professional help,” after seeing their father get shot by police seven times, according to TMZ.

The family is reportedly seeking professional help, in the form of a therapist or a team of therapists. Justin also reveals that the children have yet to visit their father because it would be “too traumatic.”

The officer who reportedly shot Blake has been identified as Rusten Sheskey of the Kenosha Police Department, which was confirmed by the State Department of Justice.

As previously mentioned, during an attempt to arrest Jacob, Rusten Sheskey deployed a taser. Once that attempt failed, Vincent Arenas made a second attempt as he deployed his taser. That is when the viral video showed Sheskey grabbing and shooting Jacob 7 times in his back. The other identified officer that was at the scene was Brittany Meronek.

Rusten Sheskey has been an officer with the Kenosha Police Department for 7 years, Vincent Arenas joined in February 2019, and Brittany Meronek joined in January of this year.

You may recall that Jacob was shot seven times by a Kenosha police officer as he was entering his car, after reportedly breaking up a fight. It’s also reported that he is now paralyzed from the waist down, according to his father.
