Roommates, Wendy Williams’ son, Kevin Jr., appeared before a judge to enter a plea in the assault case dealing with his father Kevin Hunter.
According to TMZ, Kevin Jr., without the presence of either of his parents, has plead not guilty, and the prosecutor in the case has reportedly asked for more time to review the details of what happened between the father and son.
The prosecutor reportedly states he wanted to “review factors in the case”, and said he thought the case would be resolved at the next hearing.
As we previously reported, Kevin Jr. was arrested in May for allegedly assaulting his father. Police had been investigating a scuffle between the two just before Kevin Jr. was taken into custody.
The incident reportedly took place in the parking lot near their home in New Jersey, where an argument broke out between the father and son. Things took a turn for the worse when Kevin Sr. allegedly put his son in a headlock, and Kevin Jr. allegedly punched him in the nose.
The incident came right on the heels on Wendy and Kevin’s split, and Kevin demanding spousal support from his estranged wife.
Although both Wendy and Kevin previously vowed to be a united front in the court room for their son, neither parents actually entered the building. Instead, they both reportedly sat in a car outside the courthouse.
Although the case is ongoing, Kevin Sr. has opted not to press charges against his son.
