#TSRBlackExcellence: Rihanna Becomes First Black Woman To Spend Over 200 Weeks On The Billboard 200 Chart

#Roommates, Rihanna once again proves why she is a trend-setter and a record-breaker. While the last few years has seen her making major changes (and major coins) within the fashion and beauty space, please don’t forget that Riri also knows how to dominate the Billboard charts as well. She just made history as the first black woman to spend over 200 weeks on the charts.

Riri knows her incredibly supportive Navy want new music—and they want it now, but perhaps they will settle for this latest round of good news surrounding their queen. @HNHH_Official reports that Rihanna is now the first black woman to spend over 200 weeks on the Billboard 200 chart.

Rihanna achieved this impressive milestone thanks to her 2016 album “Anti,” which has been on the Billboard chart since its initial debut over 3 years ago. What’s even more impressive is that in the time since “Anti” was released, she hasn’t had any music out as a solo artist. As for that highly-anticipated music that fans are going crazy over, well Rihanna recently provided an update on what to expect.

She previously discussed that heavy reggae influence that will dominate the upcoming album:

“It’s not gonna be typical of what you know as reggae. But you’re going to feel the elements in all of the tracks. Reggae always feels right to me. It’s in my blood. It doesn’t matter how far or long removed I am from that culture, or my environment that I grew up in; it never leaves.”

We know one thing, whatever Rihanna does she always manages to have a lasting impact.

Roommates, what are your thoughts on this?
