TSR HBC Youuu Know: I feel sorry, I truly do, for anyone who has never seen an #HBCU marching band perform live (or for anyone who didn’t attend an HBCU for that matter).
Band culture is the culture at a historically black college. While many of us were appreciative of #Beyonce for highlighting the swag and trends that HBCU bands exhibit with her #Coachella #Homecoming performance, many of us been hip to how those marching bands get down. I’m talking drum majors who break their backs, difficult but beautiful arrangements of today’s hits, and a syncopation that cannot be matched.
With football season finally here, we know these marching bands have been working all summer to show y’all the heat they’re coming with. We present to you some of the best HBCU bands in the nation. SWIPE through and let us know which band is the most lit!
