
Last year 15-year-old Jordan Edwards was fatally shot by an officer in Balch Springs, TX while riding in the front seat of a vehicle while leaving a party. The day before Edwards’ death, the highly anticipated series Dear White People, premiered on Netflix.
A little under a year since Edwards’ tragic death, the cast and crew of Dear White People, have come together to form a scholarship fund in his honor.
On Monday, Logan Browning, the shows leading actress took to social media to announce the scholarship fund.

Edwards dreamed of attending The University of Alabama to play football. Therefore, the scholarship will promote the education of deserving undergraduate students,” who enroll full time at The University of Alabama, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
