#YG is investing big bank into the future females of the tech industry. He recently wrote a check for $150,000 and delivered it to #GirlCodeLA, a Los Angeles-based organization that develops and exposes young women to the tech industry.
He delivered the check personally to their offices, TMZ reports. With my donation, I hope theyll be able to expand their reach of future female coders and programers, he said. I want to make sure Im doing my part. I got a daughter and I respect the G Code.
In addition to his big donation, he gifted the young coders with new #BeatsByDre headphones. He also chopped it up with the girls about the importance of exploring nontraditional career paths.
Big ups to YG for his philanthropy, especially in his own backyard!
