
The U.S. Womens National Soccer team were the big winners at the 2019 Women’s World Cup on Sunday after they defeated the Netherlands 2-0, making it their fourth World Cup title.
According to CBS News, Megan Rapinoe, the team’s co-captain spoke about the teams victory and said, It’s surreal. I don’t know how to feel right now. It’s ridiculous. It’s surreal. I don’t know how to feel like now. It’s ridiculous.
Megan was awarded the Golden Ball trophy. She posted about her victory on social media while quoting Nipsey Hussle as she celebrated.
The team received tons of congratulations from celebs all over, including our Forever President, Barack Obama, who said, Yes! Fourth star. Back to back. Congrats to the record breakers on the @USWNT, an incredible team thats always pushing themselvesand the rest of usto be even better. Love this team. #OneNationOneTeam.”
Donald Trump also tweeted his congrats to the team and said, Congratulations to the U.S. Womens Soccer Team on winning the World Cup! Great and exciting play. America is proud of you all!
Prior to the teams win, Megan reportedly vowed to boycott a visit to the White House.
Nonetheless, Snoop Dogg was another big name to offer his congrats. He also mentioned how the women on the team deserve better pay.
