#Roommates, just when we thought Lil Wayne was in the clear following his private jet being searched by federal agents days before Christmas, a disturbing new update has emerged that could have Weezy potentially facing charges.
@MiamiHerald exclusively reports that despite initial claims by Lil Wayne that everything was fine after the private jet he was on was searched by the feds, it’s now being reported that authorities found a gold-plated .45 caliber handgun with a pearl grip, along with heroin, cocaine, weed and MDMA pills. According to law enforcement sources, the gun was found in the Wayne’s Coach bag after the private jet landed at Miami-Opa-locka Executive Airport following a flight from California.
Lil Wayne’s chef, who was traveling with him, had around $20,000 in cash on him at the time, which was also seized. Federal agents and Miami-Dade police officers initially discovered the gun and drugs after receiving a tip regarding weapons and marijuana possibly being transported on Wayne’s plane. No immediate charges were filed during the initial search, but the new findings could change things.
Currently, there’s a possibility that a federal grand jury could be assembled after the holidays to consider gun and drug charges against Lil Wayne. His lawyer Howard Srebnick said at the time of the initial search that Wayne was not only innocent, but cleared by authorities of any wrongdoing, however that was before the recent items were found in his bag.
