#TSRUpdatez: CDC Epidemiologist Who Vanished After Leaving Work When He Got Sick Found Dead In The Chattahoochee River

Back in February, #TimothyCunningham, epidemiologist and commander under the U.S. Health Service Corps at the CDC, went missing in Atlanta when he left work after falling ill. Cunningham told fellow employees that he wasn’t feeling well and that he’d finish working at home. This was on Monday February 12th and no one had heard from him since.

Unfortunately, his remains were pulled from the Chattahoochee River this morning. Police say that there is no evidence of foul play, but it isn’t being ruled out either

Cunningham’s Case has stumped authorities since his keys, phone and wallet were left behind as well as his dog which was unusual. “This is not normal. This is definitely out of the ordinary,” his father Terrell Cunningham told reporters back in February.

Cunningham hadn’t contacted close friends and family either which was weird since they had a family rule to always be in constant contact with at least one member of the family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.
