Last month, we reported about a Dallas bartender getting arrested after he was seen on video assaulting a young black woman over a parking dispute. On Tuesday, the woman was charged with a felony for causing damage to the bartender’s truck.

According to NBCDFW, a criminal mischief warrant was issued for L’Daijohnique Lee over the damage done to Austin Shuffield’s truck. The damage done to the truck was worth more than $2,500, which made it a felony.

On Wednesday the Dallas County District Attorney, county officials confirmed that the charge against L’Daijohnique had been dismissed. Her attorney, Lee Merritt said he expected Dallas County District Attorney John Cruezot to drop the charge.

As we previously reported, the incident stemmed from a parking dispute, where Shuffield smacked L’Daijohnique cell phone out of her hand as she was dialing 911. She reacted by punching him and then the video showed Shuffield responding by reaching back taking a boxer’s stance and punching her in the jaw.

The video continued to show Shuffield violently hitting her four more times in the face and head.

Shuffield was arrested for aggravated assault causing injury, interference with an emergency call and public intoxication. He’s reportedly scheduled for his first court appearance on April 12th.

L’Daijohnique reportedly suffered a concussion, swelling to her jaw, a black eye and an injury to her ear following the incident. Her attorney says she has been to the emergency room three times since the incident and recently she received referrals to a facial surgeon and a psychiatrist.

We’re glad to hear that the charge against L’Daijohnique has been dropped.
