Roomies, just last week we told you that one of the witnesses, Kenneth Jordan, who identified C-Murder as the shooter in a 2002 Louisiana club shooting that left 16-year-old Steve Thomas dead, recanted his testimony. He made many claims that he was threatened and coerced by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office officials to fabricate the story and to identify C-Murder as the shooter although he was certain he did not see him pull the trigger.

Now, the second witness, Darnell Jordan reportedly sent the 24th Judicial District Court a handwritten letter claiming that the JPSO also played a role in his fabricated store — alleging that they “tricked” him into identifying C-Murder as the shooter.

“I was scared of them,” Jordan wrote in his affidavit. “I am certain that Corey Miller did not shoot Steve Thomas.” He goes on to say that his initial testimony was influenced by a piece of paper handed to him by Detective Donald Clogher, a JPSO official.

Jordan also claims his testimony was based on a piece of paper handed to him by Sheriff’s Office Detective Donald Clogher.

When C-Murder got news that Kenneth recanted his statement, he had this to say:

“I want him to know I’m not upset with him. I’m proud of him. And me and my family, and my daughters. My daughters, we thank him. For real. This is a life-changing moment…I’m not gonna lie. These last 16 years have been a definite struggle. I’ve been snatched away from my family, separated from my kids, from my career, everything. And I just want it back. My heart hasn’t smiled since I’ve been locked up for 16 years, and I just want them to know that my heart is smiling.”

Our prayers are with the family of Steve Thomas.
