Authorities are continuing to get down to the bottom of all those responsible for the untimely passing of Mac Miller, as now a third person has been arrested in connection with his overdose.
TMZ reports that Stephen “Stevie” Walter was arrested earlier this week in Los Angeles. According to official court documents, Walter was contacted by Cameron James Pettit (who has already been arrested) on the night of September 4, 2018, asking for “10 blues,” which means Percocet pills, after Mac texted Pettit asking if he had any. After that, police say Pettit then contacted Walter to get the Percocet, from there Walter sent someone to Pettit with the pills and Pettit delivered them to Mac at about 2:30 AM on September 5. Mac was found deceased two days later on September 7, 2018.
The person who delivered the pills was suspect Ryan Runner who has also since been arrested. Authorities say Pettit texted this to a friend after learning of Mac’s passing, “I’m pretty sad and also a little worried.” He then texted a link to an article about Demi Lovato’s alleged drug dealer being arrested and sent another text stating, “This is what I’m afraid of … I feel really guilty … If I have to go to jail I hope to spend some time with you first.”
Despite this, Pettit still bought more Percocet from Walter, who was arrested by the U.S. Attorney’s Office on a charge of conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance in connection to Mac’s passing. Additionally, he’s also currently on supervised release following a 10-year federal drug trafficking sentence.
Pettit was formally charged earlier this month with distribution of a controlled substance in connection to Mac’s passing.
