The ‘Abbott Elementary’ series has showcased some major famous faces, but Tyler James Williams is pushing for a superstar to make an appearance. According to PEOPLE, Tyler James Williams wants Solange Knowles to join the cast of the upcoming season!
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Tyler said he believes Solange could play his family member on the show because they resemble each other.
I would love to seeSolange Knowles as a cousin. I feel like we look alike. It’s like us and then my dad is Orlando Jones. Yeah, I think Solange would be great. Just add a family member.
Though Solange hasn’t responded to Tyler’s request yet, fans would likely enjoy seeing her on the popular comedy series. His request comes after several stars, including Bradley Cooper, Kevin Hart, Questlove, and Taraji P. Henson, have also made surprise appearances on the show.
‘Abbott Elementary’ often goes viral because of its hilarious cast, which includes Quinta Brunson,Sheryl Lee Ralph,Janelle James,Lisa Ann Walter, andChris Perfetti.
The show made waves during the 2022 and 2023 award seasons, winning Golden Globes, Emmys, and NAACP Image Awards.
Quinta Brunson briefly discussed what fans can expect of season four when the cast reunited at San Diego Comic-Con 2024 on July 27. PEOPLE reports that the actress revealed a crossover episode is in the works for season four.
Im not gonna tell you with who, or with what, or where, or when, but its really exciting, and I think itll change television as we know it,” Quinta explained.
Additionally, the creator told Glamour last year that school shootings will never be a part of ‘Abbott.’
“I just think about the day-to-day in a workplace comedy, and I dont think that thats the realistic day-to-day in the classroom,” Quinta explained. “There are two different realities. Theres the one present in the classroom where teachers are just trying to get through a lesson. And then theres the outside perspective of us engaging with teachers through the news.”
ABC will officially debut season four on October 9, but the first three seasons are available to stream on Hulu.
