Tyler The Creator Defends Drake After He Was Booed Off Stage By Fans Expecting Frank Ocean

Tyler The Creator was not here for his fan’s outrageous behavior during his annual Camp Flog Gnaw Festival in Los Angeles. He’s used to his fanbase acting unordinary, but he never thought they would boo one of the greatest artists of our time, Drizzy Drake.

As we previously reported, Drake was a special guest at Tyler’s festival and he performed some of his greatest hits. The audience, which was expecting a performance from Frank Ocean, were not pleased with Drizzy’s set at all, and they made that very clear.

Videos from the festival have surfaced and you can hear the audience spewing boo’s at Drake as he’s about to make his exit. For a moment, Tyler was keeping his silence about the incident but not anymore. He took to Twitter in defense if Drake, and thanking him for being part of the festival.

“I thought bringing one of the biggest artists on the f*cking planet to a music festival was fire! But flip side, a lilting deaf knowing the specific crow it drew.,” Tyler says. “some created a narrative in their head and acted out like a**hols when it didn’t come true and I don’t f*ck with that.”

After checking his fanbase, Tyler goes on to thank Drake for his contribution to the show, and says he appreciates his music.

“Again, thank you Drake! (I’m f*cking pissed that Hotline Bling was next that’s my f*cking s*it I’m gonna play that in the shower right now) <3”

According to Billboard, Drake reportedly ended his set 20 mins early because of reaction from the crowd. Before exiting the stage Petty Papi had one final message:

“Like I said, I’m here for you. If you want me to keep going, I’ll keep going. It’s been love. I go by the name of Drake, thank you for having me.”
