United Airlines Under Fire Again After A Kansas-Bound Dog Is Mistakenly Shipped To Japan!

Jesus be a publicist, because #UnitedAirlines is gonna need it!

Do y’all remember when a passenger was dragged off of a United flight last April? That was the first of a series of unfortunate events dealing with the airline, because a puppy died on Monday after a flight attendant urged a passenger to leave him in an overhead bin during a flight. The dog died and now United is involved in an epic public relations disaster, but, wait! There’s more!

After that puppy‘s recent death, United employees mishandled the shipment of a dog named Irgo. Irgo belongs to the Swindle Family who was moving from Oregon to Wichita, Kansas, however he didn’t make it to their new home on time! Irgo was mixed up with a Great Dane during a connecting flight in Denver and was shipped off to Japan on accident.

“They had no idea where the dog was,” Mrs. Swindle said. “I burst into tears instantly because this has just all been a whirlwind. They didn’t know (where Irgo was) until 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday when the plane landed in Japan.” After being examined, Irgo was OK’d to fly home today.

Of course United issued a statement shortly after the incident saying, “An error occurred during connections in Denver for two pets sent to the wrong destinations. We have notified our customers that their pets have arrived safely and will arrange to return the pets to them as soon as possible.”

“We apologize for this mistake and are following up with the vendor kennel where they were kept overnight to understand what happened.”
