(Update) Police Arrest 15-Year-Old For Deadly Shooting In North Carolina, Suspect Is In Critical Condition

Police officers say that the person responsible for the deadly shooting that took place in North Carolina on Thursday is a 15-year-old in critical condition.

Officers say that they recovered a hand gun and a “long gun,” after the shooting, leaving five dead and two injured.

A source with direct knowledge of the situation tells CNN that the suspect had a camouflage bookbag and wore camouflage clothing at the time of the crime.

 

President Biden spoke about the incident and stated:

 

We’ve grieved and prayed with too many families who have had to bear the terrible burden of these mass shootings.

The President added:

We must pass an assault weapons ban. The American people support this commonsense action to get weapons of war off our streets.

Officers have yet to provide a motive but did say police apprehended the suspect after a standoff.

The victims are Nicole Conners, 52; Sue Karnatz, 49; Mary Marshall, 35; James Roger Thompson, 16; and Gabriel Torres, 29, the off-duty police officer on his way to work.
