Vaping Company Reportedly Offers Sha’Carri Richardson 250,000 To Be A Company Spokesperson

While the Tokyo Olympics door has closed for Sha’Carri Richardson, another has seemingly opened. According to TMZ, a vaping company by the name of Dr. Dabber has allegedly offered the track star a $250,000 contract to become a company spokesperson.

In an offer letter obtained by TMZ, the company said they are saddened to hear about her suspension. As previously reported, Sha’Carri was suspended from competing at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics with the US Track and Field Team after testing positive for marijuana. Despite garnering heavy support online, including from celebrities, Sha’Carri was blocked from competing at the Olympics overall. Well, it seems like this vaping company decided there was an opportunity where the Olympics didn’t see one.

“At Dr. Dabber, we believe that THC can actually have many positive effects on an athlete’s recovery and overall well-being,” the offer letter stated.

The attempt to build a relatable sentiment with the track athlete is seemingly obvious given that Sha’Carri confessed to smoking marijuana to cope with the news of her mother’s death.

“To hear that information to come from complete stranger, I was definitely triggering, it was definitely nerve shocking because its like, how are you to tell me that,” Sha’Carri said during a TODAY interview. “No offense against him at all, hes just doing his job, but definitely, that sent me in a state of emotional panic.”

The offer letter praised Sha’Carri for “how fabulous” she looked while showing off her “star-power and ability to command the country’s attention” at the Olympic trials. Then, the company made their move and offered Sha’Carri the position.

Considering your talent and grace over these past weeks, we would love to offer you the opportunity to work with our team as a spokesperson for Dr. Dabber, the letter said. This entails testing our award-winning dab rigs and vape pens as a resident ‘doctor.’

Dr. Dabber didn’t specify in the letter whether this is a one-time or ongoing partnership deal. Moreover, there’s no news on whether Sha’Carri has received or responded to the offer.
