Witnesses Feared Raz B Would Jump From Hospital Rooftop, Negotiator Called In

The outlet obtained footage of Raz on the roof of Saint Luke’s Hospital while onlookers watched from a nearby window. Witnesses told responding officers that they were afraid Raz might jump.

Police reportedly received the dispatch call at about 10:20 a.m. Fire department officials also arrived on-scene and placed mats on the ground below for precaution, per the outlet.

A negotiator was even called in to assist with safely getting the singer down. Raz ultimately agreed and returned through the window before being treated by EMS.

The situation was resolved without further incident, authorities said.

Raz’s condition as of Friday (May 26) remains unclear, but we know he has some rehab and legal trouble history.

In 2020, the singer checked himself into a self-care facility after being arrested for DUI, as reported by The Shade Room.

“The stress from childhood trauma has led to some unhealthy life decisions. This past week he has checked into a private self-care facility to acquire the necessary tools for a healthier life,” a source told The Shade Room at the time.

A year prior, he was arrested in Minneapolis for domestic assault by strangulation. Sources reportedly said that the victim was Raz’s girlfriend. However, prosecutors ultimately declined to pursue charges against the singer, citing a lack of evidence.
