Video Seemingly Shows Blood-Soaked Influencer Inside Miami Apartment Where A Black Man Was Fatally Stabbed

Earlier this week, we reported that Miami police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a 27-year-old man named Christian Toby Obumseli. As the news of his death spread, people on social media, including Christian’s alleged friends, began to point fingers. Many have called for the arrest of his live-in girlfriend and Instagram influencer Courtney Tailor.

New Details On Fatal Stabbing

Now, in new footage obtained byTMZ, it appears that Courtney was present in the apartment during Christian’s death. Not only that, TMZ’s footage shows Courtney sitting on the apartment floor covered in blood. Blood, from what we can only assume is Christian’s, covered Courtney’s face, arms, chest, stomach and top half of her gray sweatpants.

Who Is Courtney Tailor?

As previously reported, Miami police have not named a suspect in the case. However, per NBC 6 South Florida, authorities did detain a woman at the scene on Sunday. From our understanding, her detainment was not an arrest. Instead, the woman was transported to the police department for questioning, where she reportedly threatened to kill herself. She was then reportedly placed on psychiatric hold for an alleged mental health evaluation. At this time, we cannot confirm Courtneys whereabouts.

While authorities haven’t named Courtney, TMZ reported that an attorney working with Christian’s family confirmed the woman detained was Courtney. Attorney Lee Merritt also confirmed the social media influencer was Christian’s girlfriend.

Courtney’s main and back-up Instagram accounts contain no photos of Christian. However, Christian’s IG account, displays multiple posts featuring Courtney. His latest post, made on September 1, 2021, shows a smiling Courtney holding Christian’s hand. In the comment section, Courtney’s main account wrote “partner in crime” in the comment section.

Her accounts also don’t follow Christian’s account, but he follows both of her pages. Additionally, the main account of the influencer has left comments under several of Christian’s posts. Some of her comment language includes: “mi amor” and “twin [fire emoticon].”

A Grieving Family

Per our last update, the fatal stabbing occurred on Sunday, April 3 at One Paraiso in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood. Residents of the luxury apartment building reportedly received an email about a “domestic dispute” on the day of the incident, but the email didn’t provide additional details.

His alleged older brother Jeff shared a heartfelt Instagram post about Christian’s killing.

I honestly cant believe Im writing this, Jeff wrote in the post caption. It is with the heaviest heart I announce the murder of my younger brother, Christian (Toby) who was brutally killed on Sunday, a week from his 28th birthday Im truly at a loss for words. He didnt deserve this. This is a lot to process. Thank you to everyone who has reached out. Your support is truly felt and appreciated during this devastating time. I ask the community to please pray for me and my family. Pray for strength for the long road ahead to justice.

This is a developing story.
