Vine Founder Reveals That A “Follow-Up” To The Video Platform Is Coming!

It feels like forever since #Vine was laid to rest by Twitter. The video platform was acquired by the social network in 2013, but they disabled uploads last year. Instead, they introduced a Vine archive back in January where users could watch all of the classic videos which put so many of your favorite social media personalities on!

Anyway, it seems like Twitter became less fun afterwards, so thanks to Vine users who have lobbied for its return, the company’s founder Dom Hofmann has revealed that he’s working on a “follow-up” to the video platform.

Hofmann tweeted, “I’m going to work on a follow-up to vine. I’ve been feeling it myself for some time and have seen a lot of tweets, dms, etc.” Next, he explained that he will fund the new platform himself as an outside project so that it doesn’t interfere with what they’re currently doing at Vine.

These were the only details Dom really gave until he dropped a bomb on Twitter today by sharing a “V2” reminiscent of the original Vine logo.

Would y’all be here for this new Vine?!
