We dont see color, they say. But lets boycott the mall for hiring a black Santa, they say.
We told you guys that Americas largest mall, Mall Of America made a step in a diverse-turned-controversial direction when they hired the malls first ever Black Santa. For most, the news came as a victory, as (fictional) white Santa has been the default for many children across the U.S. and has finally been given some melanin. But then there are those who feel that the mall went way too far for changing Santa’s skin color.
One person wrote on Facebook:
Nothis is political correctness gone too far. Can you imagine a white Jessie Jackson or Muhammad Ali? Of course not! Real or not, Santa Clause is of white origin!
Another Facebook user said, Dumbest thing ever, affirmative action Santa. And Im a minoge rity. Show me one black person who lives in the North Pole.
