Roommates five years ago, the world was introduced to Patti LaBelle’s infamous “Patti Pie” by James Wright Chanel. His hilarious review went viral and is still something that resonates with us today, especially during the holiday season. James had Patti Pies flying off the shelves, and had everybody and their mama going to Walmart to try to grab one. Folks even took it as far as selling them on Craigslist.

No holiday is completed without a Patti Pie, and we have to put some respeck on James’ name because he is the cause of that! Y’all may wonder what he’s been up to since going viral and becoming a household name. His life has changed in a major way. He is now a celebrity chef, a singer, and is even starring in a BET movie.

James throws it down in the kitchen and uploads cooking videos on his YouTube channel. Roomies, ya’ll know we like to spill the tea with y’all. You can get a chance to experience James’ food soon. He exclusively told us that he would be opening a restaurant.

We may be waiting a little longer for a musical collaboration between the pair, but James has a new single,” Walked Out,” that’s available on all streaming platforms.

One question on everyone’s mind is, are Patti and James still in contact? James reassured us that they are! James said, ”Currently, my relationship with Patti is so epic. It’s so epic, that’s like my other mother.”
