Whoops! Ex-Employee’s Identity Revealed After Mask Falls Off During Armed Robbery

A 25-year-old woman has been charged with armed robbery after her mask fell off during an attempt in October. According to WYFF 4, NatashaOtero was immediately recognized as an ex-employee of the establishment she attempted to steal money.

Otero was arrested on December 27, 2022.

The Attempted Armed Robbery

According to the outlet, authorities were called for an armed robbery ata business on South York Road in Gastonia, North Carolina. The attempted robbery occurred in early October.

An employee told authorities that a woman wearing a black face mask walked into the business, armed with a handgun. The woman then demanded cash from the establishment. And struck an employee in the head with the handgun.

During the assault, the woman’s face mask fell off. The employee who was being assaulted immediately recognized the suspect as 25-year-old Natasha Otero.

Otero then fled the store, leaving her face mask and handgun behind.

Otero’s Warrant And Arrest

According to the Gastonia Police Department, authorities issued a warrant for her arrest. And she was located, and arrested, on December 27 after she shoplifted from a local shoe store.
