Willow Smith Reunited Jada Pinkett Smith’s Former Band Wicked Wisdom As A Mother’s Day Present

Roommates, as you already know, Mother’s Day is right around the corner. While some of us may still be struggling to find our mamas the perfect gift, Willow Smith surely isn’t! She surprised her mama, Jada Pinkett Smith, with a thoughtful musical performance. Now, this wasn’t just any old performance. Willow went all out and reunited Jada’s former metal band Wicked Wisdom.

The surprise didn’t just end at the band’s reunion. Willow took the place of her mom in the band as front-woman and rocked out! The whole moment took place on Wednesday’s episode of their joint show ‘Red Table Talk’ on Facebook Watch. It started with Willow telling Jada she has a Mother’s Day surprise for her. Then, a tape featuring Willow was played.

“When I was I wanna say about 3 or 4, I went on tour with my mom and her band Wicked Wisdom,” Willow said in the video clip.

Willow, dressed in a casual black tee, went on to explain how she viewed her mom during her Wicked Wisdom days.

“Wicked Wisdom was lit,” Willow said. “This is the music that I grew up around. My mother was superwoman, she was a rock star, she was a warrior, and a nurturer all in one. So unapologetically bada**.”

Willow described herself as her mom’s “biggest fan” at the time. In the video clip, she is seen reuniting with the band members Michael Anderson, Pocket Honore, Taylor Graves, and Ronald Bruner Jr., according to People.

“Mom, I just love you so much and I just want you to feel a tiny little bit of the gratitude and the love that you have given me throughout my entire life and continue to give me, Willow said. “And I just want to say Happy Mother’s Day and you’re just always going to be superwoman and bada** b**ch in my book.”

By the end of the clip, Jada is seen tearing up and laughing at the video. Then, Willow asks Jada to join her on a walk. She leads her outside, while Jada questions what’s going on? They walk out into a driveway and Jada sees the stage set-up and her former band members. After embracing her band, Willow explains that what Jada is seeing has been in the works for months.

Almost immediately after, she picks up her guitar and the show starts. Together, the band plays the track “Bleed All Over Me.” Willow both sings and plays the guitar, while Jada and her mother and co-host Adrienne Banfield-Norris cheer on in amazement.

Jada reposted a video of the moment to her Instagram account on Wednesday. In her caption, Jada said her heart “burst in a thousand ways” having Willow “honor” her like that!
